Alma Jane (Heinsius) Brittain

Alma Jane Brittain, 74, of Burgettstown, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 26, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Bud and Jane McCallister Heinsius.

Mrs. Brittain was a devoted wife and mother.

She loved spending time with her family and dog and enjoyed gardening, puzzles and crafts.

On December 7, 1963, she married Jimmy Lee Brittain, who survives.

Also surviving are two children, Brian Brittain (Sandi) of New Eagle and Cindy Conklin (David) of Washington; a niece Marci Kirchner (David) of Nottingham; two brothers, Roy Martin of Cascade, MT and Elmer Heinsius (Sue) of Cleveland, OH; a sister, Peggy Bunner (Jim) of Geneva, OH; and several other nieces and nephews.

All services are private and have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, 724-745-2350.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or Angel Ridge Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 94, Meadow Lands, PA 15347.
