Betty Louise (Washabaugh) Roessler

Betty Louise Roessler, 85, of Florence, South Carolina formerly of Canonsburg, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017.

She was born June 20, 1932 in Canonsburg, a daughter of John Fulton and Grace Bowers Washabaugh.

Mrs. Roessler was a 1950 graduate of Chartiers Township High School.

She was a member of the Florence Presbyterian Church, Florence, SC and had been a member of the Chartiers Chapter #97 Order of the Eastern Star, Canonsburg.

Mrs. Roessler had worked as a cook in the Allison Elementary School of the Chartiers-Houston School District.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Smiley (Ralph) of Florence, SC; a son, Donald John Roessler (Mary Lou Demo) of Canonsburg; a granddaughter, Lindsay Gregg of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Robert Washabaugh (Audrey) of Canonsburg and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are her husband, Edward William Roessler and a son, Jay Edward Roessler.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 Thursday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, December 29, 2017.  Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church, 2230 Washington Road, Canonsburg PA 15317 or First Presbyterian Church, 700 S. Park Avenue, Florence, SC 29501.
