Clarence Gilbert

Clarence Gilbert, 77, of Pittsburgh, died Friday, September 16, 2016 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born July 7, 1939 in Marianna, a son of Arthur and Emma Issac Gilbert.

Mr. Gilbert was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind.  He was also work at the school as a cook for many years.

He was involved with the Blind Association and enjoyed classical music and the casino.

Surviving are a sister, Pauline Dungee of Canonsburg; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Deceased are three brothers, John, Willie and Freddy Gilbert; and five sisters, Flossie Liggons, twin sisters, Doris and Dolores Gilbert, Marie Gilbert and Lucille Gilbert who died in infancy.

All services and interment are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
