David L. "Pappy" Hudak

David L. “Pappy” Hudak, 77, of Meadow Lands, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, in Manor Care, McMurray.

He was born October 25, 1938, in Canonsburg, a son of Anna Duchi and John Hudak Jr.

Mr. Hudak had worked at the former Hudak Bus Garage in Meadow Lands.

He was a member of Chartiers Crossroads United Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Bears Club in Meadow Lands and the Moose Club in Washington and former social member of the Chartiers Twp. Volunteer Fire Department and American Legion Post #902 in Houston.

Mr. Hudak enjoyed karaoke.

Surviving are a stepsister, Judith Urbanic (Wayne) and a stepbrother, Louis G. Oliverio (“Dolly”), both of Houston.

Deceased in addition to his parents is stepmother, Helen Matyas Oliverio.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.  Service and interment are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Chartiers Township Volunteer Fire Department, 2450 West Pike Street, Houston, PA 15342.
