Frances L. (Milkovich) Seward

Frances Seward, 88, of Meadow Lands, died Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Donnell House, Washington.

She was born April 12, 1929 in Meadow Lands, a daughter of Stephen and Julia Horvath Milkovich.

Mrs. Seward was a 1948 graduate of Chartiers High School.

Frances was an active member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands, where she belonged to the Christian Mothers and Guild and served as Sacristan for many years.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On July 28, 1950, she married Robert G. Seward who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert Seward Jr. of Meadow Lands, a daughter, Cheryl Morrell of Washington; three granddaughters, Torrie Winseck (fiancé Matt Sparks), Erin Gasper (Mike) and Madelyne Hanlin (Andrew); a grandson, Tim Morrell Jr. (Sara); two great granddaughters, Emma and Olivia Gasper; a sister-in-law, Anna Mary Mikovich Czadankiewicz; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are a son Terry L. Seward; three brothers, Steven, John and Frank Milkovich; and four sisters, Mary Swihart, Agnes Caumo, Anna Schrader and Pearl Milkovich.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.   A  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Monday, July 31, 2017 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands with Rev. Carmen D’Amico as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.  Rosary will be recited by the Christian Mothers and Guild, Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m.
