Jerilynn Hainaut

Jerilynn Hainaut, 62, of Houston, died peacefully Monday, July 18, 2016, in the Donnell House, Washington.

She was born on March 25, 1954, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Dr. Charles A. and Dorothy L. Evans Hainaut.

Ms. Hainaut graduated from Canon-McMillan High School in 1972.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in Future Teachers of America Club.

She graduated from California University in 1977 and received a BA degree in English.

Ms. Hainaut worked for Fort Cherry School District as an English teacher for 37 years.

She was member of the Upper St. Clair Alliance Church.

Ms. Hainaut enjoyed reading, playing computer games and traveling.

Surviving are: two sisters, Joyce Gregory (Richard) of Canonsburg and Janice Hainaut of Houston; a brother, James Hainaut (Colleen) of Carnegie; two nieces; and four nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, with Pastor Robert Brannon officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
