Kathleen (Lewis) Dittmer

Kathleen Dittmer, 74, of Houston, died Thursday, October 13, 2016.

She was born October 9, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Arthur and Katherine Butler Lewis.

Mrs. Dittmer with her husband owned and operated Valley Used Cars in Canonsburg.  For many years she had been employed by Schweinebraten Bus Co. as a bus driver for Chartiers-Houston School District.

On June 5, 1958 she married William E. Dittmer who died March 5, 2010.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra Moss (Jay) of Houston and Judith Mullins (Henry) of Washington; a son, Michael Dittmer of Houston;  four grandchildren, Ashley Moss (Michael Burns), Justin Moss (Hilary), Kaylin Mullins (Christopher Howard) and Mark Mullins (Danielle); ten great grandchildren, Ian, Natalee and Grace Burns, Lucas Yocum, Payje and Rhyin Plott, Carsyn Mae Moss, Brecken Moss, and Jaxson and Savana Mullins; a sister, Linda Pack (Gilbert) of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.  Prayers for the deceased will be recited at 8:00 p.m.   Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or the charity of their choice.
