Lawrence J. Cerciello, 83, of Houston, died Saturday, July 29, 2017, in his home with his family by his side.
He was born March 4, 1934, in South Fayette Twp., a son of Felice and Rose Monda Cerciello.
Mr. Cerciello was a 1952 graduate of Bridgeville High School.
He had worked for over 40 years as an iron worker for Local 3 in Pittsburgh and was the founder of L&J Erection Inc. of Houston.
Mr. Cerciello was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands.
He restored and showed antique cars and was a member of the Auburn, Cord and Dusenberg Auto Club and the Chrysler Restorers Club.
Mr. Cerciello was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything.
On July 17, 1956, he married Shirley Mae Toney, who survives.
Also surviving are: three children, Lauren Bradley (Robert) of Houston, Larry Cerciello (Kandy) of Claysville and John Cerciello (Michele) of Washington; six grandchildren, Sarah Clark (Steve), Caleb Bradley (Candice), Joshua Bradley (Mindy), Hannah McKee (Tom), Emily Cerciello and Noah Cerciello; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Noel Cerciello (Sharon) of McDonald. He also leaves behind his cat Tim.
Two brothers are deceased.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 535 West Pike St., Meadow Lands, with Rev. Carmen D’Amico as Celebrant. It is requested that everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contribution be made to the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Food Pantry.
