Linda M. (Donaldson) Hines

Linda M. Hines, 75, of Amity, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the comfort of her son’s home in Merritt Island, FL following a brief illness.

She was born February 14, 1941 in Canonsburg, a daughter of John and Ruth Snively Donaldson.

Mrs. Hines had worked as a medical secretary at Mayview State Hospital from 1959 until her retirement in 1991.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Houston.

Her hobbies included traveling and photography.

On February 16, 1968, she married James Hines, Sr., who died October 2, 1990.

Surviving are a son, Kevin Hines (Heather) of Merritt Island, FL; two grandchildren, Stephanie LaCroix (Kord) and Devin Hines; two great grandsons, Julian and Jameson LaCroix; and a sister Nancy Lewis of Houston.

Deceased are a stepson, James Hines, Jr. and two granddaughters, Alexis and Kelsey Hines.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Monday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 1534, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017 with Rev. Emily Miller officiating.   Interment will be private in the Horm Cemetery, Marianna.
