Lucille C. "Babe" (Cornell) Dornon

Lucille “Babe” Dornon, 87, formerly of Washington and Houston, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon.

She was born January 26,1930 in Houston, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Rose Cornell.

Mrs. Dornon was a 1948 graduate of Chartiers High School.

For many years, she had worked as the cafeteria manager for the Chartiers-Houston School District.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Houston

Mrs Dornon enjoyed gardening and cooking.

On January 1, 1951, she married Wilmer A. Dornon who died December 9, 2013.

Surviving are three children, Suzanne Hambright (Jon) of McDonald, Jeffrey Dornon (Cindy) of Sammamish, WA and William Dornon (Peggy) of Pickerington, OH; four grandchildren, Grant, Dexter, and Logan Dornon and Brianna Hambright; a brother Charles R. “Buster” Cornell of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

A sister Florence Karnicnik is deceased.

At the request of the deceased, services and interment will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
