Lucille Edith Moody, 80, of Peters Twp., formerly Upper St. Clair, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, in McMurray Hills Manor, Peters Twp.

She was born November 10, 1935, in Plymouth, NH, a daughter of Henry and Bernadette Dargy Binette.

Mrs. Moody was a graduate of Plymouth High School in Plymouth, NH and Secretarial Trade School.

Following her years as a military wife, she worked at the Sheraton Banquet Hall in Bethel Park for 12 years and in the print shop at Consol Energy in Bethel Park. She had also been a Meals on Wheels volunteer.

Mrs. Moody was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church for many years where she was active with the outreach program for senior citizens and the homeless. 

In 1955, she married Dannie J. Moody, who died in 1995.  While married 39 years, she spent 21 as a military wife following her husband’s military assignments, in Texas, German, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New York.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra Gardner (Richard) of Eighty Four and Brenda Schuman (Darryl) of Hickory; two sons, Brian Moody (Angelia) of Daytona Beach, FL and Patrick Moody (Diana) of Muse; eight grandchildren, Keith Moody, Chris Moody, Heather Porter, Benjamin Gardner, Bethany Gardner, Chelsey Moody, Dana Hamel (Christopher) and Samuel Schuman; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Anita Hussey of Hartford, CT and Marie Monier of Laconia, NH.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342
