Marie W. McWilliams, 99, of Washington, formerly Canonsburg, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Premier Washington Health Center.
She was born May 9, 1918 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Thomas and Hazel McConnell McWilliams.
Marie had worked for the former Taylor and Pike Pharmacies retiring in 1980.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Canonsburg where she belonged to the Gleaners Club.
Miss McWilliams became guardian and helped raise her nephews, Tom and Ken following the death of their parents. Her family was most important to her.
She enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are two nephews, Ken McWilliams (Sandy) of Canonsburg and Larry McWilliams (Karen) of Florida; three nieces, LaDonna Knoblock (Frank) and Lynette McWilliams both of Decatur, AL and Rae Lynn McWilliams of Canonsburg; grand nieces and nephews, Bill McWilliams (Katie), Cayce McWilliams, Joslyn Bilitski (Barry), Whitney Solvay (John) and Derrick Knoblock; and six great nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a nephew Tom McWilliams; and three brothers, William Earl, Thomas Lloyd and George M. McWilliams.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m.Tuesday and 10 to 11:00 a.m. the time of service, Wednesday March 28, 2018, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, with Rev. Debra Rogosky officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, 161 W. Pike St., Canonsburg, PA 15317.
