Marlene R. (Haye) Kairush

Marlene R. Kairush, 80, of Canonsburg, died Friday, May 19, 2017.

She was born February 23, 1937, in Brady’s Bend, a daughter of Charles and Mary Ratkay Haye.

Mrs. Kairush was a 1955 graduate of Canonsburg High School.

She had worked as a manager and bookkeeper for Swindell Dressler Credit Union in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Kairush enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and the slot machines at the casino.

On October 27, 1956, she married Alexander M. Kairush Jr., who died September 2, 2013.

Surviving are: three children, Karen Kutschbach (David) of Pittsburgh, Michael Kairush (Suzy) of Strabane and Mark Kairush (Beth) of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Ryan Serrino (Jennifer Marshall), Melissa Gebhardt, Marcus and Taylor Kairush; and a brother David Haye (Judy) of Albuquerque, NM.

Deceased are: a daughter, Karla Tucker; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Haye.

A memorial mass will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, May 26 in St. Benedict the Abbot Church, 120 Abington Drive, McMurray, PA 15317.  Arrangements have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, 724-745-2350.
