Mary Alice (Hunter) Saint

Mary Alice Saint, 86, of Eighty Four, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 3, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 13, 1931 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Walter and Ethel Irene Evans Hunter.

Mrs. Saint was the owner and operator of a private care home in Eighty Four for 32 years, had served as the Post Master for the Muse Post Office for 10 years and worked for Red Bull Inn for 8 years.

She attended Canonsburg High School.   

Mary Alice loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She also enjoyed reading, caring for others and prided herself in making her home welcome to all.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph W. Orbin Jr. (Barb) of Finleyville, and Jerry W. Orbin (Mary Lou) of McDonald; two daughters, Carolyn S. Orbin with whom she made her home and Diane Parkinson (Buzz) of Canonsburg; Stepdaughter, Jody Rhome (Dale) of Canonsburg; eight grandchildren, Will Orbin (Brandi), Tami Simala, Christopher Orbin, Amanda Pape, Allison Hull (Mark), Lewis Pilkington, Nicole Spinnenweber (Kyle), Joseph Rubis (Stacy); step granddaughter, Carly Rhome; 12 great grandchildren, Marideth, Brady, Erin and Derek Hull, Regan and Benjamin Orbin,  Ryleigh and Bradon Simala, Kayleah Orbin, Mackenzie and Chloee Pape and Hunter Rubis; and many nieces and nephews.

Over the past several years, her niece Sharon Browning devoted herself to providing her aunt with special care and love.

Deceased are her husband, Thomas Saint Jr., two brothers William and Thomas Hunter; three sisters, Evelyn Lilley, Harolene Hunter and Carol Bruckner; and the father of her children, Joseph W. Orbin Sr.

Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2017.
