Minnie L (Steinheiser) Cumer

Minnie L. Cumer, 103, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017, in her home with family by her side.

She was born February 19, 1914, in Westland, a daughter of Henry and Mary Ellen Pilkington Steinheiser.

Mrs. Cumer was a member of the Chartiers Cross Roads United Presbyterian Church in Washington.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

In 1934, she married David P. Cumer, who died in 1982.

Surviving are: five sons, Dave Cumer Jr. (Lois), George Cumer, and John Cumer all of Washington, Robert Cumer (Cheryl) of Claysville, and Howard Cumer (Linda) of Washington; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.

Deceased in addition to her husband is a son, Charles Cumer, and a sister, Rachel Antionette.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Thursday, September 28, 2017, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd, Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.  Interment will be private.
