I am still in shock and was deeply saddened with the news of Shawn's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I have so many fond memories of Shawn, his infectious smile, and his great attitude, both in the classroom, and on the streams. Through all the years and to this day I tell all my Fly Fisher Club members about Shawn's story and how he lived out his dream on the fabled trout waters of Montana. I can't shake the lesson to be learned here since I learned of his passing. Know that as long as I teach kids to cast, tie, and read the waters, they'll be hearing about Shawn and his legacy will live on. Personally, I will be making a donation to TU in Shawn's name, and he will be fondly remembered each time I step into the water, tie a fly, or hook a fish. May God be with you all and provide you comfort always!

I didn't know Shawn, but I hear all the stories and read all the posts and realize what a very special man he was. Everyone who knew him was very blessed and fortunate to have known such a great man. We are all shocked and saddened to hear of our friend Diesels passing. He was a kind,thoughtful,caring person. We all had many good times rooting for or against all of his favorite teams with him.
