Steven A. Stonesifer

Steven A. Stonesifer, 54, of Washington, died Friday, July 15, 2016 in his home following an extended illness, with his family at his side.

He was born December 9, 1961, in Canonsburg, the son of Dawn Logan Dovey.

Mr. Stonesifer was a 1979 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and graduated from Triangle Tech in 1983 where he studied general maintenance.

He had been employed as a supervisor by Overnite Transportation for 25 years until becoming disabled in 2009.

He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Houston.

He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, woodworking and Hot Rodding, especially with his 66 Chevelle.

On January 24, 1981, he married Dawn Lynne Spinnenweber who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lacey O’Mahoney (Brian) of Bridgeville; a son, Cody Stonesifer (Krista) of Washington; three grandchildren, Skylar and Liam O’Mahoney and Riley Stonesifer; four brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 Tuesday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 with Rev. Alan Olson officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
