Walter P. Brown Sr.

Walter P. Brown Sr., 66, of Westland, died Friday, June 9, 2017, in the Donnell House, Washington.

He was born November 13, 1950, in Washington, a son of Joseph and Cleo Randolph Brown.

Mr. Brown had worked for the Observer-Reporter as a rural route driver and was the maintenance manager at Rolling Hills Country Club.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

On October 10, 1985, he married Melody Ann Weishner, who died August 18, 2010.

Surviving are: seven children, Tracy Martin (John) of Washington, Walter P. “Duke” Brown Jr. and Kimberly Davis (Ron) of Elkins, W. Va., Donald Bird III of Canonsburg, Melody Healy (Ryan) of Eighty Four, Penny Jarecki (Ryan) of Canonsburg, and Perry Brown (Darla) of Monessen; 15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Norman Brown of Waynesburg.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6, with a service at 6 pm Monday, June 12, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.  Interment is private.
