Wanda Sue Dessify

Wanda Sue Dessify, 55, of North Charleroi, formerly Canonsburg, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

She was born October 23, 1961 in Washington, a daughter of Franklin and Edith Stevens Dessify.

Ms. Dessify attended Canon-McMillan Schools and was employed by Simplot in North Charleroi.

She loved mothering her children and enjoyed cooking and cleaning.

Ms. Dessify was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Shawnice Williams (Israel Johnson) of Canonsburg, Keshia Dessify (Eric Smith) of Donora, Erica Yogmas of Canonsburg, Alysha Ethridge of Monessen and Darchelle Ethridge of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Dessify of Washington and Rodger Dessify of Canonsburg; and two sisters, Debra Dessify of Canonsburg and Bonnie Dessify of Ohio.

A brother Gary Dessify is deceased.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016 with Pastor Melanie Davis officiating. Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations be made in care of the funeral home.
