George Urbanic Obituary

George L. Urbanic, 88, of Chartiers Township, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 22, 2024, in Premier Washington Nursing Center.

He was born June 29, 1935, in Meadow Lands, a son of the late George and Julia Cimino Urbanic.

George was a 1953 graduate of Chartiers High School and was a Penn Commercial graduate where he earned an associate degree in accounting.

Mr. Urbanic had worked for Chartiers MH/MR Center Inc. as administrator of finance, retiring in September of 2000.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and vegetable gardening.

George was a member of Meadow Lands United Methodist Church where he met his wife. He and Priscilla Dean were married on May 2, 1959.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Mark S. Urbanic (Monica) of Girard, OH, Georgia “Gigi” Lough (Randy) of Beaver Falls; and Dean Urbanic (Becky) of Chartiers Township; six grandchildren, Olivia and Mark Urbanic, Brandon and Mareena Lough and Lauren and Taylor Urbanic; a brother Timothy Urbanic (Melody) of Chloe, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
