James R. King

James R. King, 91, of Washington and formerly of Roscoe, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born December 16, 1932, in Roscoe, a son of Joseph and Jessie Hamilton King.

Mr. King graduated from California High School and had worked as a self-employed carpenter.

He was a member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Washington, the Mon Valley Masonic Lodge #46, and a former volunteer with the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department.

He was married to Margaret Calcutt who died October of 2008.

Surviving are three daughters: Cindy (late John) Bush of Washington, Jackie Smith of Houston, and Kristy (Sean) Terling of Chartiers Twp.; three grandchildren, Erica (Derek) Mellors, Austin (Yasmeen) Albader and Spencer Terling; and three nieces, Cathy (Bernie) Medved, Janie (late Stan) Halle and Denise (late Patrick) Meehan. 

Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are a sister Eleanor King Crawford Carson and a nephew W. Robert Zaph.
