Nita Jean Anderson, 90, of Houston, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington.
She was born February 10, 1934, in Midland, Chartiers Township, a daughter of Theodore and Loize Fullum.
Jean was a 1951 graduate of Chartiers High School and was employed for many years as Admissions Manager at the Canonsburg General Hospital, retiring in 1999.
Mrs. Anderson was an active member and faithful servant of God at St. Paul AME Church in Washington.
She was a volunteer at the Washington Christian Outreach.
On December 20, 1952, she married Everett L. Anderson who died February 27, 1963.
Surviving are two sons, Tommy L. Anderson (Carol) of Jamestown, NC and Everett Alan Anderson of Sharon; four grandchildren, Tambre Ervin (Jimmie), Gunnery Sgt. Richard Anderson USMC (Shelby), Avery Anderson and Eric Anderson; seven great grandchildren, Amyah and Peyton McClenny, Taniyah and Trae Ervin and Bryce, Kameron and Cooper Anderson; a sister Vera Wilkins of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a brother, Malcolm Fullum and a sister, L. Patricia Lacey.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 Thursday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery.
