Beverly Elaine (Brown) Dean

Beverly Elaine Dean, 63, of Strabane, died Thursday, July 5, 2018 in the Canonsburg Hospital.

She was born April 22, 1955 in Washington, a daughter of the late Samuel and Evelyn Scott Brown.

Mrs. Dean was a 1973 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.

She worked in the Central Billing Office for NovaCare in Southpointe.

Beverly had been a member of the Nazareth Baptist Church in Washington and Sheba Temple IBPOE of W in Canonsburg.

Her oldest son, James North, Jr. is deceased.

Surviving are her husband, James Dean; a son, Michael Andre North of Strabane; five grandchildren, Kirstie Nichole North-Alvarado (Denzel), Jeremiah Hardy, Isiah Dean, Theresa and Joseph Thrasher and Sarayah Dean; two brothers, Wallace Brown (Barbara) of Scottsdale, AZ and Lawrence Brown (Melva) of Cary, NC; four stepchildren, James Dean Jr. (Cassie Elliott), Camille Dean and Dietta Adams all of Washington and Natasha Thrasher of Pittsburgh; her former husband and father of her children, James North, Sr. of Charleston, WV; a daughter-in-law, Chalsie North of West Palm Beach, FL ; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She enjoyed playing darts, bowling and her dog, Tiger Dean.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Beverly’s name to the funeral home.
