Dorothy J. "Sissy" (Dalbo) Gunther

Dorothy J. “Sissy” Gunther, 82, of Canonsburg, died Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Washington County Health Center with her family by her side.

She was born July 17, 1933 in Washington, a daughter of John and Helen Tilger Dalbo.

Mrs. Gunther was a graduate of Chartiers High School.

She had worked as a clerk in the family’s store, the Easy Shop on Route 980 in Cecil Twp.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan Harrower (Scott) of Canonsburg and Sharon Dunkle (Bob) of Houston; and three grandchildren, Andrew Harrower and Kylie and Casey Dunkle; a niece, Lori Collins (Terry Herbick) of Canonsburg; grandniece, Cara Ogrodowski (Jeff), grandnephew, Bradley Jox; a great niece Julia Ogrodowski.

A brother John Dalbo Jr. is deceased.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Monday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016.  Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
