As a little girl and Marie's friend, I remember how hard your Dad studied in dental school. He inspired us to also take school seriously and work hard at our studies. He let us watch and learn as he did experiments, our first exposure to actual science. Although he was studying, he never shooed us away but made us both feel as if we were his lab partners. That made quite an impression on me. STEM before the catchphrase caught on. My childhood memories visiting the Schweinbraten's also include your kind grandparents loving having us play in the yard amongst their lilacs and apple trees. I've thought of those days and you, Marie, often. My kindest thoughts to you and your family on the loss of your dear Dad.

Pat, it is hard to lose your lifetime friend as I just did but God will give us strength to carry on as he ended their suffering. To Bill and Agnes, you have my sympathy and thanks for visiting Dick ; he would have enjoyed seeing you. God be with all of you...
