Emalee Grace Cowden

Emalee Grace Cowden, 14, precious daughter of David W. and Denise L. Crumrine Cowden Jr. of Washington, passed away, Monday, September 25, 2017 in UPMC Children’s Hospital following a long battle with health issues.

She was born November 11, 2002 in Washington. 

Emalee loved her family, listening to music and playing with her toys.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Matthew Cowden of Washington and Nickolas Cowden at home; a sister, Leigha Cowden at home; maternal grandparents, Jess and Linda Crumrine of Washington; paternal grandfather, David Cowden Sr. (Joanne) of Hickory; paternal grandmother, Karen Plunkett of Avella; four uncles, Paul Cowden (Jodie) of Avella and Michael Crumrine (Hope), Joseph Crumrine (Jodi) and Scott Crumrine (Bethany) all of Washington; and two great aunts, Debra Graham of Washington and Bonnie Cowden of Cecil.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from Noon to 1:00 p.m. the time of service Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342 with Pastor Jay Freudenberg officiating.  Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. 

Fly high sweet little Bee.  Your wings were ready but our hearts were not.
