Inez C. (Jeffers) Holveck

Inez C. Holveck, 90, of Houston, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in the Donnell House, Washington, with her family by her side.

She was born June 9, 1926 in Houston, a daughter of Ross and Ina Hoffman Jeffers.

Mrs. Holveck had worked as a dietician at Mayview State Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1992.

She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving are a daughter, Claudeen Susan “Susie” Altieri of Cecil, two grandchildren, Gerald Altieri and Kimberly Hunt (Jim); three great grandchildren, Jesse and Grant Altieri and Willow Hunt; three sisters, Marion McGary of Lone Pine, Maureen Engle of Houston and Dawn O’Brien (Jeff) of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her husband Benjamin Holveck who died in 1969; two brothers, Roscoe and Paul Jeffers; and a sister, Jeri Tomsic.

At the request of the deceased, all services are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
