I learned of Marek's passing this morning, and it came as a profound blow to me, and quite frankly, I'm fighting a lump in my throat as I'm writing this.

I've had the distinct honor and privilege of working with Marek for four years and I found him to be a man of great wisdom, calm, and peace; qualities which he readily radiated to those around him. On my business trips out to the Canonsburg Office, he was one of the first people I sought out to discuss both business and life. Marek's passing is a loss I feel to the core, but in the same space as my sadness exists a great gratitude for having known someone like him in his short time with us here on Earth.

You are sorely missed, my friend.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

My sympathy to his family and friends.

I knew Marek thru mutual friend Michael Lewis. I Always looked forward to golf games and 19th hole sessions that included Marek.

This is a huge loss. Our country needs more people like Marek: sense of humor, kind, humble yet strong and self confidant, principled yet salt of the earth and gracious. Respected.

Many will miss. His death hurts. His memory will be a blessing and inspiration.

I worked closely with Marek at Missouri American Water when he was overseeing the Jefferson City operation until a replacement was hired. What I remember most was his desire to do what was right.

Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

My husband and I both had the pleasure of working with Marek when he was with American Water in Missouri. He had the biggest smile and the kind of laugh that made me laugh when I heard it. Marek was bright, compassionate, and really just an overall wonderful human being. We want to express our sincere condolences to his family. Heaven gained a wonderful angel and I hope God's love brings peace and comfort.

I worked with Marek at Missouri American Water and he was more than just a coworker, but a dear friend and confidant to me, as well. He offered advice and encouragement with the perfect mix of levity and sincerity, much as a brother would. His zest for life and his passion for his work will forever be his legacy and I am saddened to hear that his journey has made such an abrupt and untimely stop. If the phrase, "only the good die young" could apply anywhere, it is with Marek. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
To his family, I offer you my most sincere condolences and deepest sympathy. May the peace of knowing Marek touched so many people in such a profound and inspirational way be comfort to you. You raised a good son/brother/friend. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Gone too soon! Just a treasure of a man! I too am so very blessed to have met Marek as my Cohort in the "Great Eight!" Marek just had a wonderful spirit, pleasant personality, and a smile that would light up a room! To Mom ... who I loved talking to about Marek's many accomplishments when I'd see you at social functions ... you have reason to be so Godly proud of your son. You are all in my heart and in prayers.
