Marsina Matthews Obituary
Marsina J. Matthews, 38, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in LifeCare Hospital of Pittsburgh, Suburban Campus, after an extended illness.
She was born September 19, 1979, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Richard Thompson and Carole Matthews.
Ms. Matthews was a 1998 graduate of Canon-Millan High School.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canonsburg.
Ms. Matthews enjoyed spending time with her children and family.
Surviving are: three children, D’Mari Nishae Spencer of Canonsburg, Christopher Joseph Freeman and Caroline Arree Freeman, both of Myrtle Beach, SC; four brothers, Richard Thompson of Elizabeth, NJ, Terry Thompson of San Francisco, CA, Bradley Matthews of Washington and Eric Matthews of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2018 in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 120 Greenside Ave., Canonsburg, PA 15317, with Rev. Anita Lovell officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
