Peggy Billie, 76, of Washington, formerly of Hickory, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 in Premiere Washington Health Center.
She was born January 16, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of Daniel and Myrtle Briscoe.
She was a graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore, MD followed by secretarial school.
She started her working career as a secretary for Martin Marietta Corporation. in Baltimore, MD where she met her husband Andrew C. Billie, Jr. and was married on September 15, 1962.
Mrs. Billie also worked as a teller for Pittsburgh National Bank, owned and operated the ARK Christian Book Store in Meadow Lands and Washington and worked as a local realtor.
She was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church in Houston, was a Girl Scout Leader in Hickory and was the leader of the Hickory Majorettes.
Surviving are a son Daniel Billie and his wife Leah of Washington; two grandchildren, Lauren Billie Hyland and her husband Ryan and Tyler Andrew Billie; a great granddaughter Flynn Nicole Hyland; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents, are her husband Andrew who died January 2, 2017; a daughter Michele Billie and a son Andrew Billie who died in infancy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 in the Central Assembly of God Church, Houston with Rev. Susan Petritis, Chaplain of Gateway Hospice, officiating.
