Priscilla (Bolden) Smith

Priscilla Smith, 78, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2017 at Osborn Honor Health Hospital in Scottsdale Arizona, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 7, 1939, in Pittsburgh, the eldest daughter of the late Archie and Eleanor Bolden.

Priscilla & Herbert moved to Ca. in 1978, and their children soon followed one by one.

They both retired to Scottsdale, AZ in 1995.

Priscilla was nicknamed "Sookie".  She loved talking, watching Westerns and Wheel of Fortune and was a natural at giving good advice. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed shopping, vacationing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Priscilla was the beloved wife of Herbert Smith; loving Mother of Howard Hackley (Jaqueline Haro) of CA, Ronea Girten (Benjamin) of AZ, Dorothy Tracey Dixon (Neal) of CA, Andrea Smith Wright (Durand) of CA, and Step daughter Kim Young of CA; cherished Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a loving sister of Vinnie Boyd and Ronald Bolden; and cherished by many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Proceeded in death are: her sister, Hester Levine Little, and granddaughter, Courtney Ronea Dixon.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m.  on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home, Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave.,  Houston PA 15324. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
