Steven J. Toth, 59, of Houston, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017, in Hospice Unit of West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh following a long battle with liver disease, with his family by his side.
He was born November 25, 1957, in Canonsburg, a son of the late James and Margaret Johnson Toth.
Mr. Toth was a 1975 graduate of Chartiers Houston High School.
He had worked as a carpenter, truck driver, and was a dealer in Las Vegas.
Mr. Toth was a member of the Houston Independent Club and a former member and bartender at the Bears Club in Meadow Lands.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debra Pirillo Gurosko Toth; two children, James Gurosko of Airville and Bryan Gurosko of Aberdeen, MD; seven grandchildren, Josephine, Breyona, Brandon, Caitlyn, Brice, Bryant and Steven Gurosko; a brother, Kevin Wayne Toth (Darlene Czopek) of Canonsburg; two sisters-in-law, Michele Gubitti (James) of Southview and Linda Kover of Bentleyville; three brothers-in-law, Pete Pirillo of Avella, Mike Pirillo of Hickory and Perry Pirillo (Cindy) of Atlasburg; many nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt and uncle and several aunts and uncles that reside in England.
He also leaves his cherished Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Cara.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017 with Rev. Carmen A. D’Amico officiating. Interment will follow in Venice Cemetery, Cecil Twp.
