Anita Janchenko Obituary

Anita L. Janchenko, 61, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully at home.

Known to people who knew her as Nina or Gypsy, she was born January 20, 1961, in Canonsburg the daughter of the late Virginia Kirby Janchenko.

Nina was a 1979 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and was employed by Rite Aid in Canonsburg.

She was a member of the Russian Club in Canonsburg and the American Legion Post #902 in Houston.

Nina enjoyed camping, fishing, snake hunting, planting flowers, wind chimes, small crafts, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Batman and the Three Stooges.

She leaves behind two nephews, Gary and Nicholas Janchenko; and her sister in law, Jo Ann Janchenko.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Janchenko; and her grandparents, Virginia and Leon Kirby.

 A celebration of Anita’s life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022, in the American Legion Post #902 in Houston.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
