Blanche Warcholak, 93, of Houston, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, in Canonsburg Hospital under the loving watch of her children.
She was born October 1, 1927, in Houston, a daughter of John and Carmella Courie Spatafore.
Mrs. Warcholak was a 1945 graduate of Canonsburg High School.
She was an 81year faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Houston where she served in many capacities. She was a choir member, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, was on the Casserole Club Team, and volunteered anywhere she was needed.
Blanche was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and church family.
On June 20, 1948, she married Theodore “Ted” Warcholak, who died March 14, 2011.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mary Lou Scharf (Tom) of Cecil; a son, Ted Warcholak (Carol) of Chartiers Twp.; a granddaughter, Meghan Elizabeth Warcholak of Wellsburg, W. Va.; a brother, Gerald Spatafore of New Port Richey, Fl.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her husband are: three brothers, Tom, John and Barry Spatafore; and three sisters, Theresa and Mary Spatafore and Flora Richards.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 Tuesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the First United Methodist Church of Houston, 213 E. Pike Street, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will be private.
