Brenda M. Spicer, 51, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, October 31, 2021 in the Washington Hospital following years of heart disease.
She was born October 9, 1970 in Orlando, FL, a daughter of Fred J. and Donna Daugherty Spicer III of Canonsburg.
Ms. Spicer was a 1989 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a graduate of the Sawyer School where she studied to be a travel agent.
Brenda worked for many years as a unit secretary for the Washington Hospital following years of heart disease.
She was a member of the Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church in Canonsburg.
Brenda enjoyed researching her American Indian heritage and its connection to the Spicer Massacre, traveling to Beaufort, SC and Hunting Island Beach and Park, camping, fishing, horse back riding and her fur babies, Oreo, Patches and Shadow.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Fred J. “Joe” Spicer IV and his wife Christina Wehner Spicer; a sister, Rebecca Spicer Campbell and her husband Benjamin; two nieces, Lila Spicer and Brooklyn Mervis; a nephew, Dylan Wehner; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was loved and will be greatly missed.
At the request of the deceased, all services are private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
