Bruno V. Zanolla, 78, of Houston, died peacefully, Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington.
He was born August 3, 1942 in Washington, a son of Albert and Maria Rech Zanolla.
Mr. Zanolla was a 1960 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
He served with the Army National Guard for six years, 1964 to 1970.
Bruno worked for 28 years for Pennsylvania Transformer, McGraw-Edison and Cooper Industries in Canonsburg, retiring as a Quality Control Inspector in 1994.
He was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal worship site.
Bruno was a member of the Arden Athletic Club, Bears Club in Meadow Lands and the American Legion Post #902 in Houston.
On September 16, 1968 he married Linda L. Popats who passed away November 20, 2020.
Surviving are a son, Anthony Zanolla and his wife Julie of Canonsburg; a daughter, Gina Zanolla of Houston; two grandchildren, Anthony Jr. and Carter Zanolla; and several nieces and nephews.
His sister, Brunetta Borza is deceased.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 300 Pike St., Meadow Lands, PA 15347. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
Full military rites will be accorded by the VFW Post #191 Honor Guard.
