David C. Lucas, 84, of Burgettstown, died Monday, June 26, 2023, in Washington Hospital.
He was born May 6, 1939, in Bethel Park, a son of the late William and Anna Labone Lucas.
Mr. Lucas had worked heavy equipment operator all over the United States and retired from Casper-Colismo in Pittsburgh.
He was a veteran having served in the US Army in the 1st Armored Division from June 1963 until June 1965.
Mr. Lucas enjoyed reading, traveling and fishing.
On August 8, 1988, he married Carol Linhart who died July 1, 1994.
Surviving are: a brother, James Lucas of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are: seven brothers, Paul, Frank, George, Edward, William Jr., John and Thomas Lucas; and four sisters, Mary Tatar, Margaret Phillips, Isabelle Smith and Katherine Stash.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 Thursday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, services and interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies are private.
