Obituary
Donald Lee “Red” Fazzolari died on January 28, 2023, surrounded by family.
He was born on June 6th, 1933, to Dominac J and Elizabeth (Whitfield) Fazzolari.
He married Dorothy Jean Kendra on April 6th, 1952, and the couple resided on their horse farm in Houston, PA.
Red worked for various companies in Washington County including the county nursing home, RCA warehouse, and the Meadows Racetrack, where he worked with horses for over 20 years.
He was an avid card player and enjoyed spending time with family, working with horses, and watching sports.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean, his two children, Donald “Fuzzy” (Susan) Fazzolari of Hickory and Darlene (Jim) Dunn of Chartiers Twp.; two grandchildren Stacy (Bill) Schamp and Joe (Melissa) Dunn; three great-grandchildren, Hope Gillespie (fiancé Nathan Kroboth), Matthew Dunn, and Nolan Schamp; and a brother Terry (Donna) Fazzolari of Washington.
He is predeceased by his grandson, James Dunn.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church of Houston, 102 N Main St., Houston, PA 15342.
Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
