Donald John "Bug" Roessler

Donald John “Bug” Roessler, 61, of Chartiers Twp., died Saturday, September 30, 2023, in Washington Hospital.

He was born September 26, 1962, in Washington, a son of Edward William and Betty Washabaugh Roessler.

Mr. Roessler was a 1980 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.

He had worked as a mechanic and a farmer and loved working on his tractors and riding his Harley Trike.

Donald was a member of the Palanka Sportsman’s Club in Houston and the Washington County HOG Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Demo.

Also surviving are: a sister, Linda Smiley (Peete) of Florence, S.C., two nieces, Lindsay Gregg and Kayla Demo;  two nephews, Eric Crawford and Edward Crawford Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A brother, Jay E. Roessler, is deceased.

Friends will received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023.  Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
