Dorothy M. Sitko, 99, of Houston, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in Townview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Canonsburg.
She was born September 13, 1922, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of David and Augustine Ferrina Coneby.
Mrs. Sitko had worked at the former Thorofare in Washington, volunteered at the Washington Christian Outreach for years and was active with Senior Life in Washington.
Dorothy was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship in Washington and had been a member of Central Assembly of God in Houston.
She enjoyed playing cards and coloring.
Married twice, her first husband William Sedora died in May of 1965, she remarried to Charles Sitko who passed away in April of 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Speer and her husband Donald of Lubbock, TX and Darlene Mull and her husband Roger of Houston; five grandchildren, Donald Speer Jr. (Beth), Kevin Speer (Chan), Jennifer Purcell (Tim), Dwayne Mull and Candis Jones (Michael); nine great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Norma Wussick and Edna Craig; and four brothers, Norman, David, Henry and Frank Coneby.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 Friday, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
