Frank S. Matz, 84, of Glassport, formerly Bentleyville, died Saturday, October 17, 2020.
He was born March 26, 1936 in Houston, a son of the late Frank and Mary Wylie Matz.
Frank was a graduate of Chartiers High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physical Science from Waynesburg University. He received additional credits from Rutgers University and Florida State University.
Mr. Matz was a mathematics teacher and owned a boarding kennel.
He enjoyed camping, cooking and dogs.
On August 3, 1955, he married Wilma Curdie who passed away March 3, 2014.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Danielle Wintermyer (Tom) of Glassport and Zachary A. Gulden (Stephanie) of Jefferson Hills; three great-grandchildren, Aliya Dawn, Zachary and Ellianna Gulden and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter Dawn L. Matz; and a brother, James Matz.
At the request of the deceased, all services are private.
