Harry W. Coufman, 84, of Hickory, died peacefully, Saturday, July 10, 2021 in his home with his family at his side.
He was born September 2, 1936 in Eldersville, a son of Harry H. and Hazel Mader Coufman.
Mr. Coufman was a 1955 graduate of Hickory High School.
He had worked as a overhead crane operator for J & L Steel in Aliquippa for 30 years and for Village Green Golf Course in Hickory for 31 years.
Harry attended the Legacy Baptist Church in Houston.
When he was able, he enjoyed, baseball, softball, bowling and golf.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Atchison Coufman; four children, Kevin Coufman of Cocoa, FL, Mary Ellen Page (David) of Frederick, MD, Troy Coufman (Lisa) of Canonsburg and Larry Coufman of Washington; ten grandchildren, Tiffany List, Adam Coufman (Krystal), Justin Page (Rachel), Amber Page (John Rock), Matthew Coufman (Rizalyn), Andrew Coufman, Josie Craig (Zach), Courtney Eland, Sierra Coufman (Travis Dutlinger) and Daniel Penrod; 12 great grandchildren, Mark, Brandon, Joshua, Evelyn, Austin, Joey, Sarah, Jacob, Sophia, Madison, Penny and Zander; two sisters, Emma Brown of McDonald and Shirley James of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter, Debra Lea Coufman who died in infancy; and two sisters, Betty Mele and Dorothy Byers.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Harry’s birthday, September 2, 2021 at Legacy Baptist Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Legacy Baptist Church, 123 Meadow View Dr., Canonsburg, PA 15317.
