Harry M. Powell, 91, a long-time resident of the Fineview area of Pittsburgh, presently of McDonald, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in his home.
He was born August 25, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a son of Joseph and Alene Miller Powell.
Harry graduated from Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Powell was a member of St. Peter’s Worship Site of Christ Our Savior Parish and worked as a donation manager for the St. Vincent DePaul Society for 30 years.
He enjoyed jazz music and traveling to the Bahamas with his wife.
On July 21, 1951, he married Sylvia A Williams who died March 28, 2022.
Also surviving are a son, Harry M. Powell Jr of McDonald; two grandchildren, Julie Chandler (Eric) of Canonsburg and Jason Powell (Nikki) of Washington; two great granddaughters, Jasmine Lopez (Saviel) and Kiera Witson; a brother and sister; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Linda Powell; and three brothers and two sisters.
At the request of the family, all services will be private.
