James W. Dodd Jr.

James W. Dodd Jr., 61, of Houston, died Wednesday, October 27, 2021, in Canonsburg Hospital.

He was born November 15, 1959, in Canonsburg, a son of the late James Sr. and Leona McVehil Dodd.

Mr. Dodd was a 1977 graduate of Chartiers Houston High School.

He had worked at Route 19 Auto Salvage for many years becoming the manager and owner.

Mr. Dodd was a member of the American Legion Post 902 in Houston.

He had a love for his family and classic cars.

On September 24, 1983, he married Pamela Bell, who survives.

Also surviving are: a son, Justin Dodd of Houston; a daughter, Melissa Dodd (Russ Geary) of Jefferson Hills; a brother, Don Dodd (Donna) of Houston; a sister, Debra Erhart (Keith) of Wexford; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11 AM to 1 PM, the time of service, on Monday, November 1, 2021, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
