John R. “JR” Hrabovsky, 50, of Eighty Four, died, Monday, January 31, 2022 in the Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born August 4, 1971, in Pittsburgh, the son of Will and Janis Rudolph Budner of Carmichaels.
John was a 1989 graduate of Bishop Canevin High School and briefly attended the University of Pittsburgh.
He was a prep cook, last working for Mad Mex in McMurray and formerly at King’s Restaurant in Canonsburg.
JR was a member of the Canonsburg U. P. Church and the International Ford Retractable Club.
John was active in the foster care program, was a 4H leader and a hobby dairy farmer.
On October 16, 2004, he married Kelly Grimes who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sons, James and Bobby Hrabovsky; a sister, Sherri Shorts (Michael) of Richeyville; a brother, George Budner of Carmichaels; his father and mother-in-law, William and Diane Grimes of Eighty Four; and his brother-in-law, David Grimes.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Don Coleman officiating.
