Keith T. Cingel, 65, of Houston, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born October 28, 1958, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Andrew and Barbara Tschippert Cingel.
Mr. Cingel was a 1976 graduate of Bethel Park High School.
He had worked for Belfiore Amusement Inc. in Canonsburg and retired from Sony of New Stanton. Keith had served as a volunteer fireman for the Library, Bethel Park, North Strabane Twp. and Gill Hall fire departments. He was an E.M.T. for the Canonsburg Ambulance Service, a medic for the Heritage Reservation of the Boy Scouts of American for 10 years and was a CPR instructor for Allegheny Health Network.
Mr. Cingel had served as a leader for the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, model trains, loved animals and was an avid Halloween decorator.
Surviving are three children, Shannon Bigelow (Corrie) of Leechburg, Ashley Lieb (Jarid) of Hermitage and Gregory Cingel of Houston; two grandchildren, Molly Bigelow and Christopher Lieb; his companion of 25 years, Billie Jo Michtak; two brothers, Gary Cingel (Janet) of The Villages, FL and Kevin Cingel (Rhonda) of Canonsburg; a sister Karen Cheesebrough (Dave) of South Park; was a father figure to Brian Kraushaar of Canonsburg, Michael DeGennaro (Madison) of Monterey, CA and Harmony Weidman of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2024, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
Services and interment will be private.
