Obituary
Mary Ann Lanager Leggs, 65, of Curwensville, PA passed peacefully on December 8, 2022. She was surrounded by family at Washington Hospital near her current residence in Waynesburg, PA.
Formerly she has lived in Osceola Mills, Philipsburg and Clearfield in PA as well as Imperial Beach and San Diego in CA.
She was born on March 24, 1957, in Clearfield Hospital, daughter of the late Alan Lanager and Carolyn Taylor (Lanager).
Mary Ann was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School. Most notably, she worked as a hotel manager for a prestigious hotel at State College and served as a nurse’s assistant at Windy Hill Nursing Home in Philipsburg for many years.
She was a member of various clubs including the American Legion Post #437 and AmVets Post #159.
She went to every high school reunion she could and enjoyed learning about her heritage and making friends wherever she went.
Mary Ann is survived by three children, Philip E Lanager of Alabama, Ronda Renee Ackerman of Temecula, Ca, and Elizabette Decker of Carlsbad, Ca; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Ora Lea Doherty (Stephen) of Hershey, PA and Helen Boal (Michael) of Curwensville, PA; a brother Randy Lanager of Clearfield, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Brothers Alan and Willard Lanager are deceased.
Services have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home, Ltd. Houston, PA.
