Maryann Clark Obituary

Maryann K. Clark, 85, of Houston, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington.

She was born May 23, 1938, in Peters Township, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Vrohovesk Meassick.

Mrs. Clark was an active member of the First United Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities.  She was very proud of her time as a Sunday school teacher for mentally challenged adults.

Maryann had been a Meals on Wheels volunteer, enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and crocheting.  Most important was her family.  She loved the time she could spend with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On June 19, 1952, she married Arthur W. Clark who survives.

Also surviving are four children, Cynthia Culp (Robert) of Houston, Dianna Miller (James), Arthur W. Clark Jr. and Tina Kraeer all of Washington; a brother in law she raised as her son, Dan Stopperich of Twinsburg, OH; seven grandchildren, Robert Culp II (Laura), Ashley Layton (Zach), Jason Ilgenfritz, Cory Clark (Ashley), Matthew Clark, Wayne Kraeer Jr. (Rachel) and Tonya Michtak (Robert); 11 great grandchildren, Julia and Jamie Culp, Bridget and Colin Layton, Colton Clark, Alyxandra, Jackson and Brair Ilgenfritz and Tristan, Logan and Everley Kraeer; three sisters, Elizabeth Patton of Washington, Patricia Goldbach of Bethel Park and Jean Volker of Orgon, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are two brothers, Joseph and Charles Meassick; and a sister, Frances Windler

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. the time-of-service Monday, April 15, 2024, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.

Interment will be private.  

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, 102 N. Main Street, Houston, PA 15342.
