Peggy L. Verner

Peggy L. Verner, 71, of Washington, died peacefully at home Saturday, July 17, 2021 following an extended illness.

She was born January 14, 1950 in Washington, a daughter of Wesley and Lillian Donaldson Verner.

Peggy was a 1967 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and later worked for the district as a high school secretary, retiring in 2012 following 34 years of service.

She was an avid animal lover and always enjoyed feeding the birds around her home.

Surviving are a niece, Jacqueline Clous (Michael) of Washington; two nephews, Jason Law (Heather) of Columbus, OH and Jeffrey Law (Lara) of Grand Island, NY; four great nieces and three great nephews.

Deceased are two sisters, Connie Conaway and Janet Law.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
