Perry John Williams, 92, of Houston, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, March 9, 2023.
He was born August 15, 1930, in Indiana, PA a son of the late Pierre DeHasse and Blanche Servant DeHasse Williams her husband Harry Williams.
Perry was a 1948 graduate of Chartiers High School and attended two years at Penn State University before enlisting in the US Marines at the onset of the Korean War.
Mr. Williams proudly served with the Marines from April 1952 until his separation in April of 1954. He was awarded the National Defense Medal and Expert Sharpshooter Medal.
He had worked for Bell Telephone and later Verizon, retiring after 47 years of service.
Perry was a member of Pioneer Club of Bell Telephone, American Legion Post #175 in Washington and the Marine Corps League.
Mr. Williams enjoyed golfing, painting nature scenes, military history and was an avid reader.
He married the love of his life on May 17, 1952, Patricia Ann Fabian his wife of 71 years. They did everything together.
Also surviving are a daughter, Judith L. Konecny and her husband Robert of Indian Springs, AL; a son, Perry J. Williams Jr. and his wife Bobbie Jo of Washington; two grandchildren, Katherine Ann Pope (Will) and Jenna Williams; two great grandchildren, Charley Pope and Declan Diesel.
A daughter Jacqueline Williams is deceased.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Honors will be presented by the Honor Guard from American Legion Post 175.
